… is an often repeated manta in the betting industry and one that Ive mentioned a few times in the blog., after all no one ever walked into work and said ” put one hundred pounds on a horse on Saturday and it fell at the first”.
Betfair Pro trader is a recent addition to my blog roll and this post sums it up quite nicely. http://www.betfairprotrader.co.uk/2016/06/if-you-must-publish-profit-loss-blog.html . I’d like to think that I’m quite open about how my escapades into the different markets are faring and recently I’ve noticed that I’ve had a number of questions on the different sports I get involved in. Rather than do one long incredibly boring post I thought Id just make this one about golf as that is what the majority of questions seem to be about.
These figures cover the monthly performance in May and June only, and there is a reason for that. July has been a spectacular success! So why not wait until the end of the month then? Well the blogosphere can be a harsh environment and if I just posted when I had had a good month I would be be (rightly?) accused of “winning together”.
So without further ado here are the numbers:
Racing post Racing Football Outlook Nics Picks
May -74 +44 +1.9
June -27 -18.6 -35
YTD -111 +41 -51
Some points to note here . I’m quite ‘on the ball” in terms of getting the published prices ( subscribing to early digital editions etc) so I would be very surprised if these results are a million miles out from those published else where . I do know that I have missed a couple of winners from Bryan over at NicsPicks after he added them to the spreadsheet after sending the emails out. That’s completely my fault as Bryan runs a superb service .
I will look to publish a full update with those July results added next week after the USPGA.If its half as exciting as the recent Open ( what a performance by Henrik!) then it should be a cracker.
Still on golf ( sort of ) and I was lucky enough to go to France in June and play 4 rounds and also attend the Wales Belgium game in Lille.Have to say that I cant speak too highly of the friendliness and welcome that we received in various towns and cities in France – a high point in what you can see was a bit of shit month!
Finally a big thanks to Mr Cassini over at the always excellent http://green-all-over.blogspot.co.uk/ for the information provided on TBones etc -I will look forward to feasting on those in due course. Please read his blog as 1279925 hits shows that although its the second most read out there ( 3226010!) its always good value. 😉
