Zlatan Ibrahimović

Some goal eh? (graphic is from Daily Mail). I wasn’t watching as investing time in England friendlies is a bit pointless and I’d rather save my England related woes for the crushing bi -annual disappointment of international tournaments but caught some clips on the Internet.  What I  couldn’t work out was whether Andy Townsend was commentating and managed to say “for me he just doesnt do enough” .  The “do” here is referring to work rate and is something that is aimed at Ibra quite a bit along with the line about “not producing in the big games”. Its the same criticism that was (still is) aimed at Berbatov and […]

Gambling Nation?

This coming Monday (5th) at 8.30  sees the broadcast of the BBC one panorama programme called Gambling nation which was previously meant to be shown a couple of weeks ago. Here’s the blurb courtesy of their own website Even in recession-hit Britain, the gambling industry is still making a profit – £5.6 billion last year. With casino-style gambling now available day or night at the touch of a button in our homes and on our phones, Panorama explores its popularity… and reveals a darker side. Reporter Sophie Raworth hears from those who have found their lives spiralling out of control, and from industry insiders who say violence and frustration, linked […]

“Getintheholeeeeeeeee”!

First off can I just point out that the image here isn’t just an excuse to get a rather curvy backside/pornographic image on the blog- its an actual limited edition golf ball that is available on ebay (or was).Honest 😉 Anyway I can guarantee you that the above phrase  will wind the crap out of you this weekend if you are watching the Ryder cup this weekend. (I will be watching every moment and Mrs Blogger has already been granted “first dabs on our main TV  to watch chick flicks all weekend). I find it odd that golf, a game that regulates itself in such a tough way from a […]

Christmasters

So The Masters is nearly here and firstly I’d like to apologise for the terrible title of this blog piece however I’m genuinely excited by this years tournament  and have managed to secure a four day pass from all my husbandry duties to get fully involved in it! Found the above picture in the Paddy blog- near the knuckle as always but very entertaining. So what have I done to prepare my self? A few things and seeing as you ask here are a few First off I’ve tried to make sure that I can get the most up to date information on scores and coverage etc- the people who […]

Betfair Guru

As regular readers of the blog will be aware I’m a a paid member of  a couple of monthly  services having investigated and dabbled in a fair few over the last 18 months. Its always a difficult call when your looking at services as finding the right one that fits into your trading style and also, very importantly, the times you are available to actually trade/get your bets on will make a huge difference.  A couple that spring to mind are Matt Finnagans pro x trading club  club that I felt that I couldn’t justify what I deemed to be large one off joining fee (£247) and then a four […]

When Handy met Shirley

Readers of a certain age will remember the above film and at the time the scene was felt to be close to the edge- shows you how times have changed! So whats this got to do with anything? Well this weekend will be my first weekend when I’m going to merge the homer  strategies of “Handy Andy”  with the PMT (Pre match trading) tool from the Tradingfootball team. My plan is to use the tool to identify prices that are out of line to give me some nice green on various correct scores and be able to work myself into a comfortable position following Andy’s advice and with any luck […]

Virtual Certainty

Its amazing what some people bet on. Take “virtual racing” for instance. Anyone in there right mind knows that its just a number generated  at random with some graphics associated with it yet judging by the fact that every single online  bookmaker seems to have a site full of them and they are shown constantly shown in any bookmakers that I occasionally dare to visit then then they are obviously generating lots of revenue. Im guessing they are filling a void in between events that any one who is an “action bettor” will gladly fill. Discipline is a vital ingredient if you are serious about making money from sports betting […]

Believe

Congratulations! You’re an 888sport prize winner! Thank you for taking part in 888sport’s Champions League Final promotion, which took place between the 12/5/2011 – 24/5/2011.   Cue a heart attack at blogger towers as the prize was a 2 VIP Tickets to the final tomorrow. I scrolled down the mail to find that I hadn’t bagged the tickets and it was £50 quids worth of vouchers. A strange sense of relief came over me as it dawned on me that had I  won I would have been faced with a tricky decision- take Mrs Blogger who celebrates her birthday this weekend and is effectively  “giving it up”! to […]
