Coy

showing reluctance, especially when insincere or affected, to reveal one’s plans or opinions, make a commitment, or take a stand: With no posts for over a week you could argue that I was being coy about McCoy and you wouldn’t be far wrong. In the last post I mentioned that he had gone on a bit of run with 4 winners in 5 rides. If that wasn’t painful enough he carried on the run with 9 winners from 17 to wipe out the previous good start that I had made. I didn’t personally watch all the races he was involved in winning/losing although I know that in one of them […]

Rock me Amadeus

This chap cost Fred Done a lot of money last night when he scored a first half hat trick against Chelsea in the European Super cup last night and also managed to hit the post twice! Bet Freds Hat trick heaven kicked in leading to orgasmic scenes on betting message baord all over the internet and sales of wheelbarrows (and disguises?) also went through the roof as lucky punters will have to use them as they vsist various stores to collect their cash. 😉 A word of caution though: Bet Fred have a rather convenient habit of sometimes not paying out quite as much as they sometimes should, as I […]

F(r)ed Up

So the Manchester derby has been played out with City deservedly winning on the night and as hard as it is for me to say they have been the better team over the year and deserve the title. If I’m talking like its all over then I apologise I’ve obviously been listening to Sky too much who billed Mondays nights game the title decider  (or some sort of bullshit until the next big game comes along) despite the fact that City have to go to Newcastle who have been formidable at home. Mind you United’s recent run of  form (one point from a possible nine) will not have a decent […]

Doubly Delighted

And breeeeeeaatttthe……. Well what a great couple of days of Champions league football with both games going right to the wire. I’m not the biggest Chelski fan so once they were one nil  and a man down (what was John Terry doing?)  I turned over and for once didn’t flick onto various media to check scores so was pretty gutted to have missed an amazing finish. Fairplay to Torres as I genuinely  believe that if he had missed that chance he would have been finished from a confidence point of view. What made the goal  even better was  the amount of time he had to think about it as he […]

Lets get ready to rummmmmble!

Well some of the nations greatest golfers have pitted their wits against each other  and also battled the elements in order to post a competitive score . Yep the first leg of my stag do is over and the golfing prizes have been won. By a strange co-incidence we are also at the halfway stage of the weekends “other tournaments” and my main hopes rest on the golf tips of the racing post with Chris Wood and David Toms both leading at the halfway stage!. Looking ahead the top class action of the weekend will of course be at the tonight’s evening races  at Uttoxeter where 28 of us have […]
