500,000

Half a million

I noticed earlier that my page views counter had today crept up to over 500,00 which for a half arsed attempt at bloggery isn’t that shabby. I  wont get too carried away as judging by the amount of spam comments left trying to sell me all manner of crap  a fair few of those are clearly just bots, however perhaps someone apart from my dear old Mum is reading this..

These nice words from  sprzatanie Bydgoszcz are pretty typical of the shit left here every day

Hey! I could have sworn I’ve been to this website before but after checking through some of the post I realized it’s new to me. Anyhow, I’m definitely glad I found it and I’ll be bookmarking and checking back frequently!

Thanks sprzatanie- bet you are excellent at scrabble.

Its taken me 534 days to get to the half a mill  (first post was September 10th 2010)  and means that there is an average of 936 page views a day. I’ve posted on average every 2.95 days with approximately 1.38% of those posts being of any interest to anyone apart from me. In that time I’ve had one  Internet disagreement with someone which is quite disappointing as it obviously means I’m not being anywhere near provocative enough! I’ve also managed to give one prize despite trying on numerous occasions.

I suppose the main question has been “has it helped my trading etc?”  and the answer to that has to be yes as its given me an interest in other blogs and opened my eyes to other sports and ideas- its also helped keep me sane. Thanks to everyone who has read over the months and also to people who have made the effort to leave a comment from time to time. Thanks also due to the good people over at TGT who let me post a link to my blog – appreciated.

Going forward if anyone is interested in submitting any articles to the blog then please get in contact via the form at the top of the blog- I’ll post anything within reason  (as you’ve seen).

Cant sign off without linking to this that was  been posted on Stephen Mahers excellent blog “gambler falls”- an essential read especially if you like cricket trading. This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen for a while. Brilliant.
