Its weird when you look forward to the weekend but for completely different reasons to that of everyone around you. Most “normal people” are looking forward to relaxing and doing normal fascinating stuff like going to the garden centre etc (!). We bettors are different and after a week of international football that the perceived wisdom is to stay away from then it represents a welcome return to normality and a busy card (football wise). If your a horses man (not in that sense of the word clearly) then its the start of the flat season and all the excitement that brings. So a really hectic day and one that got off to a good start with a nice little LTD and SHS last night netting me a profit of £49.16. Early goals meant I was able to keep Mrs Blogger sweet and turn the pc off as will be in front of it most of the day (I’m praying for rain otherwise she perceives it as a wasted day !)
Couple of interesting opportunities today – Victor Chandler have their great offer on again for the Lincoln which they ran for Cheltenham and proved to be nice and profitable and Blue Square are running their “fair and square” promotion which are easy fivers.
Football wise I will be following the Newcastle Wolves game with interest after my post here as I have a position on Newcastle getting relegated – as I said before I don’t think they will but it will be close and its something I think has trading potential. As an insurance I’ve backed Newcastle to win the game and interesting to see that they have drifted big time on the exchanges. Don’t really want a draw!! Another game that’s will be interesting will the Man United game at West Ham. I’ve said before that I think United are far too short at 1.64 for the title and its a ground where they don’t have the best of records (I was there in 1991 when a Kenny Brown “shinner” as good as killed off our title chances- stood in the hone end which was “interestng” to say the least!! ). United have also been pretty poor away from home all season and I think we could see some movement in that price throughout the afternoon.
Good green to everyone this afternoon!
